Here you can get OpenEmbeDD builds via the Update Manager Site.

Getting Started

The OpenEmbeDD Update Manager Site allows you to install specific components of the platform OpenEmbeDD that best fits your needs without having to download the whole bundle. It also lets you update your components directly by the current environment Eclipse and automatic manner which is greatly facilitated.
Or by this way, you can also choose to install the entire platform by selecting all categories that are contained on the site.

If you want to install OpenEmbeDD components then you first have to install the minimum requirements and after you can install the features you need by using the Update Manager of the Eclipse platform.

The OpenEmbeDD Update Site contains all features regarding tools Topcased, Kermeta, ATL, Polychrony, MARTE profile and other tools.
The tools are organized into different categories, here is a summary of the categories with some examples of features that can be found :

Steps to install OpenEmbeDD features :

inst_ptr.gifInstall OpenEmbeDD features you need via Update Manager
     -> point your Eclipse Update Manager at the site
          -> Help
               -> Software Updates
                    -> Find and Install...
                         -> Search for new features to install
                              -> Add Update Site...
                                   * Name :  OpenEmbeDD Update Manager Site (for example)
                                   * URL    :  http://openembedd.org/update
                              -> Choose your features in their categories
                              -> finish in solving dependencies by the button "Select Required"

Step 0. Prerequisistes

Make sure you have all the requirements before you install OpenEmbeDD, you need to have an Eclipse SDK platform with the correct version and Java Development Kit (JDK) or Java Runtime Environment (JRE) required installed. To know that then read the minimum requirements in the top of this page.

Once Eclipse is installed, launch it. Then select :
     -> Help
          -> Software Updates
               -> Find and Install...
                    -> Search for new features to install
Then click on button Add Update Site... in order to define a new remote update site named "OpenEmbeDD" and specify http://openembedd.org/update as the URL to use.


Step 1a. Updating Eclipse via Update Manager: Release Builds

If you choose to update OpenEmbeDD with the latest release then you have to specify http://openembedd.org/update as the URL waited in the wizard page "Update sites to visit", if it does not already have it.

Step 1b. Updating Eclipse via Update Manager: Non-Release Builds

If you choose to update OpenEmbeDD with the incoming release then you have to specify http://openembedd.org/experimental/update as the URL waited in the wizard page "Update sites to visit",if it does not already have it.

Step 2. Choose Features to Install

Choose the features you would like to install.

The simplest (but largest install / longest download) option is to pick the SDK, since it includes most of the other features. Click the 'Filter features included in other features on the list' checkbox to compress the listing.

Click next to begin the install.


Step 3. Accept Licenses, Choose Install Location, Begin Download

Once features selected you have to accept the terms in the license agreements for all of them.

Optional : you may specify an location of installation for your features, if you don't then the update manager will automatically install in the standard location of Eclipse. To install to a path not already listed, click 'Add Location...' and browse for a path into which to install the update.

When you click finish, you will be presented a confirmation about digital signature. Click 'Install All'.

When done, restart your workbench.

Step 4. Verify Update

To verify your installation, you can perform the following steps.
     -> Help
          -> Software Updates
               -> Manage Configuration

Then, click the "Plug-in Details" button. Make sure the plugins are here with their correct number version.
